Banquet
Financial Report
Ed
distributed a spreadsheet listing expenses and income. The expenses are in
line with previous years, except for the amount spent on the Henry Guerra
Award. So far, the banquet profit is
$19,434, but checks still need to be collected from several donors: CBG The
Benefit Group, Rumbo, Castro Family, Garcia 360, U.S. Army and UTSA. Teresa
Niño offered to help Lorraine make
collection follow-up calls. Lorraine will
provide the final registration list to identify additional donors who still
need pay.
Joe thanked
Lorraine, Melissa Vela-Williamson and Carol
Schliesinger for all of their work on the banquet and recognized Elaine
Ayala for her behind-the-scenes work.
Lorraine extended her appreciation to the committee members who provided
hours of assistance. She suggested
we identify a chair this fall and start making plans now for next
year’s event.
