She will e-mail information for Carol to distribute to the membership.
Jorge Topete announced that he is no
longer the assignment editor at KVDA-Telemundo. He now serves as the public
information officer for Southside

Patricio Espinoza would like to see more
people attend the SAAHJ meetings and mixers. Nora and Elaine said that
there are a lot of members who are on the e-mail list, but are not active
with the organization. Many also attend the banquet and depend on the
active members to be the stewards of the organization.
Joe Sandoval expressed disappointment
that SAAHJ did not issue a statement in response to the recent news that
NBC cancelled many of Telemundo's local news departments.
Elaine asked for volunteers to draft a
statement the board could review it and send to targeted media outlets.
Patricio volunteered to draft a
statement. Joe also agreed to help.
